Show Notes

In this first mini-episode, we feature “My World,” by Michael’s cousin, Bobby Ronstadt. Bobby was born and raised in Tucson, spent some years in Los Angeles until one too many earthquakes brought him back home in 1995. He has since been hosting Monthly Music nights, been featured on numerous recordings and is currently a member of PD Ronstadt and the Company. Bobby brings his own musical reflections of life from juvenile to retrospective and maybe some instrumentals in between.

[00:00:06] Speaker A: This is Michael Ronstadt from the Nathans. And Roncast You're hearing episode one of an artist feature that we're going to do every other week in between the main episodes. This episode features Bobby Ronstadt, who happens to be my cousin. He lives in Tucson, Arizona, is an accordion player, a piano player, a songwriter, and he is one of those people that you should know. In 1999, he released an album that I dearly love called Shadows in the Dream. I've listened to that till it wore out. He waited a while to put out another solo album and it's called out of the Blue, released in 2021. Recorded at Jim Brady Recording Studios. And it's mostly solo piano and voice. There are two songs on this track that happen to be his originals. The newest song he wrote is called My World. And I had the honor and privilege of playing cello on this track. I hope you enjoy. And without further ado, I'm going to play My World by Bobby Ronstadt from his newest album, out of the Blue, released in 2021, only available on CD. [00:01:19] Speaker B: Whatever happened to my world too many flags unfurled rivers and streams and mountains lovers and dreams and curtains all of these things uncertain in my world close where is the happy in my world? What do I do to feel fulfilled? Music and friends and laughter then some disaster brings it all to an end how do we feel? Disaster in my world where is the love and the passion? Whatever happened to my girl? One that I thought could be my world weddings and kids and breakups life on the skid and wake ups all of these things that make up my world.
