[00:00:00] Speaker A: Foreign. [00:00:09] Speaker B: Welcome to the Ronstadt Radio Podcast, where we feature the music of the Ronstadt family that you probably have never heard. We're going to start off with something that's upbeat and exciting. It's called Riders in the sky and it's performed by Ronstadt generations from their 2014 release Prologue. It also features the fiddle tune the Black Nag in the Middle and features the amazing Sam Egan on bass, Aaron Emery on drums, Alex Flores on saxophone, Petey Ronstadt and Guitars and banjo, Michael J. Ronstadt and guitars and me on cello. And we all sing, so enjoy. [00:01:17] Speaker C: Well an old cowpoke went riding out One dark and stormy day up on the ridge he rested as he went. [00:01:25] Speaker A: Along his way went out Somebody heard. [00:01:30] Speaker C: A red eyed cowsie song plowing through that ragged sky and up a cloudy draw well their brands are still on fire Their hooves are made of steel Their horns were black and shiny and their hot breath he could feel well a ball of fear went through him as they thundered through the sky he could feel them riders coming hard as he rides he heard him cry Ride Yippee ghost riders in the sky Yippee ghost riders in the the. [00:03:18] Speaker C: Rider lope on by him he heard one call his name if you want a savior hiding soul or riding on that rain well and come or change your ways today with us you will ride Trying to catch that devil's herd out of across the endless sky EPI in the sky Ghost riders in the sky Ghost riders in the sky. [00:04:45] Speaker B: That was Riders in the sky by Ronstadt generations from their 2014 release Prologue. We're going to go back over to Jon Ronstadt and his group Round midnight from his 1994 album Maiden Voyage and the COVID of All Blues. [00:05:17] Speaker A: The sea, the sky, the sky and you and I See in sky and you and I know all blues all shades all hues all blues Some blues are sad some are glad Dark and sad or bright and glad they're all blues all shades all hues all blues well I know we wander high and low in our own time we hope to find life beyond all eyes as we watch the world go by Many restless hearts souls lost miles apart between the sky and sea Clouds gather in the sleeves we hover forever revolving under the sun all the shades of blue Sa Sam it Sa Sam the sea, the sky the sky and you and I Sea and sky and you and I know all all blues all shades all hues all blues all shades all hues all blues all shades all it's miles apart, miles above all blue. [00:12:07] Speaker B: I love what John does with his group. Now we're gonna finish out with another track by me and Will Clipman from our album Wildly ethereal, Shaken Earth Volume 4. This is one of my favorites. It's a groove that I had started and Will just latched onto it and we improvised the heck out of it. It's called the Fire within en. [00:13:27] Speaker A: Sam it.
